- CodeCleaner revamped
The CodeCleaner tool has been revamped and redone to be more user-friendly and intuitive. The documentation in WebHelp has been updated to reflect the new CodeCleaner tool and therefore does not contain any help documentation for the previous CodeCleaner dialog.
- ScriptArchive was Removed
WebSoftware has decided to remove the ScriptArchive tool to implement in a future FixPack as our initial user-feedback suggested a rethink about implementing ScriptArchive. We would love to hear your comments or queries on how we can implement a better ScriptArhive tool to help you by emailing hothtml3@wsoftware.biz.
- New Template Variables
There are three new templating variables you can use when creating a template:
- %APPLICATION.NAME%
Name of the application
- %APPLICATION.COMPANY%
Will return the name of the company that wrote the application
- %APPLICATION.VERSION%
Returns the version of the application installed or running.
- %APPLICATION.PATH%
The installation path for the application.
- Enhanced Dialog Support for Developers
From FixPack 1 third-party developers can create truely integrated enhancements or plugins for HotHTML 3. For users of FixPack 1 and above, you can now control what Dialogs remain in memory and be able to remove them or restrict them from being loaded at startup - as opposed to removing them from the folder.
Developers can also distribute Dialogs via a HDP file (HotHTML 3 Dialog Package file) which assists in installing the HotHTML 3 Dialog(s) on the users machine with minimal interaction.
